The Turpan Local Committee says the local people make good use of the light and heat resources and hold the activity “Happy Old Man: Sunshine Trip to Turpan” that benefits elder citizens. In spring, events, including “The Trip of Confidence: No Volcano Cannot be crossed”, “Look for the Spring’s First Trace in Xinjiang”, “Photo Contest in Huozhou” that combine sport, leisure, recreation, and travel, are held to offer more travel options to tourists.

In addition, Turpan employs real life performance project on Loulan migration and the “Impression of Turpan”; cooperates with CCTV in holding the television program “The Passion Plaza”; joins the documentary production on Xinjiang tourism; and produces television drama “The Turpan King”. All efforts are contributed to propagate the landscape and customs in Turpan.

Also, Turpan works with Hunan and Guangdong Province in reginal cooperation aiming at strengthening the tourism competitiveness and creating a win-win situation.

Turpan was the key town on the ancient Silk Road, rich in tourism resources. The well-known Huoyanshan, Aiding Lake, Grape Ditch, Qanat, and Qianfo Cave attract a large number of tourists around the world every year.

吐鲁番举办多项活动“延长”旅游季节

为改变“夏季过热，冬季过凉”的旅游现状，今年以来，我国著名景区吐鲁番推出了多项旅游活动，借此“延长”旅游季节，让游客体验更多民俗风情。

记者从吐鲁番地委了解到，为使冬季不再冷清，当地充分利用光热资源，举办“快乐老人——吐鲁番阳光之旅”活动；春季则结合体育、休闲、娱乐、旅游等，举办 “ 信心之旅——没有过不去的火焰山”活动、“寻找新疆第一春”踏青活动、“火洲风情旅游摄影大赛”等，让游客在吐鲁番有更多活动去处。

此外，吐鲁番还通过实施《印象吐鲁番》、楼兰大迁徙实景演出项目、与央视共办“激情广场”节目、参与新疆旅游专题片制作，以及制播《吐鲁番郡王》等影视剧等，全方位宣传吐鲁番自然风光和民俗风情。

为提高旅游竞争力，吐鲁番地区还与湖南、广东等开展区域性的旅游合作，以期共创共赢局面。

吐鲁番是古丝绸之路上的重镇，其旅游资源十分丰富。闻名世界的火焰山、艾丁湖、葡萄沟、坎儿井、千佛洞等景区，每年都吸引了大量中外游客前来观光。
